Process Safety Management: Pre-Startup Safety Review (US)
About This Course
Course Description
Many organizations have faced citations for noncompliance with Process Safety Management regulations, particularly due to the absence of a Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) when new or modified systems are introduced. This course covers the purpose of a startup, the PSSR process, and the steps for organizing, planning, and executing PSSRs. Topics include an overview of Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, types of startups, and how to conduct a PSSR. Upon completion, learners will be able to define a PSSR, distinguish between the two types of startups, and identify how companies implement PSSRs.
