One effective way to stay safe is by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), which can help shield you from these dangers and lower your risk of injury or even fatality.

This curriculum features a comprehensive ten-part training suite on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The courses will cover OSHA standards for PPE and how employers determine PPE requirements. The topics included are:

1. Introduction
2. Head Protection
3. Eye and Face Protection
4. Body Protection
5. Hand and Arm Protection
6. Foot and Leg Protection
7. Hearing Conservation
8. Respiratory Protection
9. Electrical Protective Devices

Curriculum Objectives 

  • List the main requirements of OSHA’s PPE standard.
  • State when head and body protection should be worn.
  • Describe selecting appropriate eye, face, hand, and arm protection in your work environment.
  • Describe how to select and maintain appropriate hand, arm, and foot protection for the hazards present in your work environment.
  • List the hazards of electricity and know how to address them.
  • Understand PPE levels of protection.
