Course Description
Injuries, both on and off the job, pose a serious health issue. The outcome of these injuries depends not only on their severity but also on the quality of first-aid care provided. Timely and effective first aid can be the difference between life and death. This course will explore various emergency scenarios and the appropriate first-aid responses for each.
Course Objectives
- Sudden illness (fainting, seizures, asthma attacks, heart attacks, diabetic emergencies, stroke, and severe allergic reactions).
- Poisoning; Stings and bites.
- Heat and cold-related illnesses.
