Course Description
When victims are not breathing or their hearts have stopped, every second is crucial! This module will help you refresh your knowledge on recognizing cardiac emergencies, performing CPR, treating choking, and placing victims in the recovery position. It’s designed for employees who have already completed comprehensive first-aid training.
Course Objectives
- Recognize the symptoms of a cardiac incident.
- Know the five actions you can take to improve a cardiac incident victim’s chance of survival.
- Recall when and how to give CPR to an adult.
- Know when and how to provide choking care for adults.
- Know why and how to put an unresponsive victim into a recovery position.
