Course Description
Cold and heat are environmental conditions we all face at times. This module will teach you how to prevent cold- and heat-related injuries and illnesses. You’ll also learn to identify the symptoms of these emergencies and how to provide care for those affected. This course is ideal for employees who have already completed comprehensive first-aid training.
Course Objectives
- Recognize the symptoms of medical conditions related to cold and heat.
- Know the first aid procedures for hypothermia and frostbite.
- Know the first aid procedures for heat cramps, exhaustion, and stroke.
