Course Description
Many organizations have been cited for noncompliance with Process Safety Management regulations, particularly for not conducting a Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) when new or modified systems are introduced. This course explains the importance of a startup, details the PSSR process, and covers the steps for arranging, planning, and implementing PSSRs. Topics include an overview of Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, types of startups, and how to conduct a PSSR. By the end of the course, learners will be able to define a PSSR, differentiate between the two types of startups, and understand how companies execute PSSRs.
