Course Description 

Electricity poses serious risks, which is why NFPA 70E was established to mandate that employers develop and implement an electrical safety program. This course outlines fundamental electrical safety practices relevant to electrical work, including the use of personal protective equipment and conducting arc-flash hazard analyses. It is suitable for individuals across all industries, particularly supervisors, electrical maintenance and installation workers, and safety managers.

  • Recognize the elements of an electrical safety program.
  • Recall how to complete an arc-flash hazard analysis.
  • Distinguish between arc-flash, limited, and restricted approach boundaries.
